Artist SRJ Preps Release Of New Single, ‘The Sky Is The Limit’
Stanley Rimpson Jr, otherwise known under the musical moniker of SRJ, is in the process of prepping the release of a new track: ‘The Sky Is The Limit.’ The track, though currently still in production, is to be the precursor to a full EP in 2016.
Rimpson descends from a family of musicians and with eight years of experience and experimentation, he has been able to craft a significant and memorable musical identity. His roots can be traced through jazz, pop, R&B, and other genres, even making a parallel to J.J Cale. (Cale, now deceased, reached a level of cult fame via his songwriting credit to famous tracks for the likes of Eric Clapton, along with his signature, lo-fi production style.) ‘The Sky Is The Limit’ is currently set for an August 1st, 2015 release date but could drop sooner. The inspirational track, fully equip with a JFK sampling, is designed to uplift SRJ’s audiences, or as he says, “to let people know they can do anything, and to give them some music they can vibe out or cruise to at the same time.” Currently the song is undergoing finalization in production, though it has already undergone a very listenable first draft. Production is also credited to SRJ, as are the vocal and guitar parts. However, the bass is performed by Angelo Jovon and the synths by Gerald Roberts.
Since SRJ’s creative process is still in a very early stage, no live performances or tour dates are set in stone, but they are sure to come. For the time being, the finalization of the music is the top priority. Stanley Rimpson Jr’s music can be followed closely online, both on his website and social media platforms Twitter and Instagram.
